La Trobe Uni Mountaineering Club is more than just scaling alpine peaks, its a club devoted to the enjoyment of the outdoors based on an appreciation of the natural environment and motivated by the desire for exploration, adventure and the "wilderness experience".
Throughout the year LUMC goes kayaking, bushwalking, rockclimbing, mountain biking, caving, and in winter XC skiing.
The club is run by students for students and ex-students and the wider community with considerable emphasis being placed on passing on knowledge to beginners.
